Heavenly Father had a different plan for us. After skipping Six Flags, we decided to just stay in the hotel for me to get some rest and I didn't feel like going on rides anyway. Early the following morning, the pain in my stomach was getting worse. We decided to go to the nearest medical center to get a diagnosis. Come to find out, my appendix was slowly in the process of bursting. Right there and then the doctors recommended surgery. The "California Adventure" then started.
From Valencia medical clinic, we drove to a hospital in Mission Hills to have my appendix removed. It was a half hour drive. Surgery started 6:00 pm and it was supposed to be an out-patient surgery. But the surgeon felt that I should stay overnight at the hospital. The next day, once I was released,we drove again to our reserved hotel in Anaheim in front of Disneyland. We got there early evening and all I wanted to do is rest in bed and recover. It was nice to just sleep, eat and watch Disneyland from the hotel window.
Six Flags and Disneyland would've been fun but what a blessing it is for Heavenly Father to watch over me and provide a way that I can have my appendix taken care of before entering the Mexico MTC. The Lord indeed prepares a way for His future servants to be ready and prepared before serving the vineyard. As a family, we are so thankful that it all happened couple of weeks before I reported to the MTC with my parents by my side while I recovered. Mickey Mouse through the hotel window was also a plus.
